Who we are
ZamaZondo Makeup Artistry is a Johannesburg-based makeup artistry business. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to ZamaZondo Makeup Artistry.

Information we collect
When you make a booking or request a quote, we may collect:
- your first and last name, email address and contact number;
- your selected service, artist, appointment date and time;
- occasion, location, group, travel and production details where relevant;
- notes you choose to provide, including makeup preferences or skin sensitivities;
- booking, deposit and payment status; and
- technical information needed to operate and secure the website.
How we use information
We use personal information to provide availability, process enquiries and bookings, secure appointments after payment, communicate with clients, send confirmations, prevent double-booking, maintain business records and protect the booking service.
We process this information to perform the service you request, to operate our business and, where required, to comply with legal obligations.
Google Calendar data
The booking service connects to the business owner’s Google Calendar. It reads free/busy time periods to show available appointments and prevent scheduling conflicts. It does not display private calendar event titles or descriptions to website visitors.
After a deposit is successfully paid, the service creates a confirmed calendar event containing the client’s name, contact details, service, appointment details, occasion, location, payment summary and any booking notes needed to deliver the appointment.
Google Calendar data is used only to provide and manage ZamaZondo bookings. It is not sold, used for advertising or transferred for unrelated purposes. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Payments and service providers
Card payments are processed on Yoco’s secure hosted checkout. We do not receive or store full card numbers, expiry dates or security codes. We receive payment identifiers and status information needed to confirm a booking.
We use service providers for website hosting, database storage, email delivery, calendar integration and payment processing. They may process information only as needed to provide those services or meet legal obligations.
Storage, security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Booking, enquiry and payment records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, resolve disputes, maintain financial and operational records, and meet legal requirements. Information that is no longer required is deleted or de-identified where reasonably possible.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal and operational retention requirements. You may also raise a concern about how your information is handled.
